Political tool or just a proof of rudeness, injurious vocabulary is more and more often used in Moldovan politics. On 12th March, in ‘Chestiunea Zilei’ TV show, at Jurnal TV, reasons and methods to avoid this vocabulary were discussed.
Independent expert Valeriu Renita stressed upon the fact that language is just a wrap for the main political message. ‘When politicians say something they are not interested in phrases’ correctness or intelligence, but in their target. It’s all about audience, about electorate. They represent their electorate. Their message has to reach their target’, affirms the expert.
Renita considers it’s not the language to define a politician. ‘In Romanian presidential elections won not Antonescu who has a perfect eloquence, but Basescu’, says Renita.
In reply, political analyst Nicolae Negru mentioned that such a language is unacceptable for a politician and dangerous for the society. ‘What attitude is a man to take towards authorities?’ asks Negru.
Valeriu Renita considers that Voronin’s stupid phrases are spontaneous. Nevertheless, Voronin has different opinions during press conferences. ‘The press likes to follow politicians’ jokes, this is press’s delight. For politicians, these injurious words, and so-called jokes, aren’t really hurtful’, considers Renita.
Nicolae Negru says Voronin is to blame for the ‘colorful’ political language. ‘I admit that Ghimpu himself is not really accurate in his discourse, but it’s Voronin to have introduced this language in Moldovan politics. Neither in Snegur period, nor in Lucinski’s was I to hear such language’, says Negru.
